Growing up with little makes you grow into a person who cherishes the smallest things. ⁠

And I do! But I'm learning to let go of things I thought I needed over the past year. I don't mean even just materialistic things either. I push hard to help others rid their lives of toxicity because I've been doing the same. ⁠

In doing so, I've been in a depressive state and interestingly enough it's from grieving the removal of those toxic people, places, and spaces. Things I absolutely know need to go. ⁠

I know all too well that you grow through what you go through so be ok during the hard times. Only eagles fly into the storm. 🦅⁠

I remember all the times I told me husband, "I don't have anything to wear." and his reply would be, "But you have a closet full of clothes." I couldn't argue there. ⁠

How many times do we have a closet full of clothes but feel comfortable and beautiful in only 25% of the stuff? That's been my problem for many years. That's why I've decided to clear it all out and keep that 25%. And I ask myself, "Do you really love love it?" before replacing any one piece. ⁠
