Steel Hands Brewery is located in Cayce, SC
It’s no secret that I love new experiences and finding non-traditional options for date night. Recently, I had the privilege of visiting Steel Hands with a local mommy group Columbia Mommy Blogger Tribe. It’s in a unique location and offers an amazing atmosphere, new experiences, and wonderful beer.
My initial visit was more of a mommy and family outing but on arrival I knew I couldn’t wait to return for date night. Don’t be fooled by the fact that Steel Hands is a brewery. For the non-traditional couple, a lot is offered here. Flights (of beer) are offered which allow you to sample different beers and find something pleasing to the palate. I’m happy to say that I found something that suited my spirit-Golden Ale was my fave.
For the couple looking to just escape and find somewhere to enjoy the atmosphere, live music is available outside on its large outdoor gathering space. Many people were found congregating there enjoying the band. And when the children are accompanying the parents, there’s plenty of room for them to roam. The dog children can also unwind as well.
Where are my foodie couples? I love trying new foods at different restaurants. There were so many wonderful food choices at very reasonable prices. I settled on the Fish and Chips with a side of pimento cheese (simply to taste). There were so many things that looked appetizing amongst the group. I even tried pickled okra and give it a thumbs up.
For the adventurous couple, tours of the brewery are offered for a small nominal fee. Tanner was our tour guide and did a phenomenal job explaining the process of beer making. My husband and I love to take advantage of experiences that educate us when we’re alone without the kids. Being adventurous adds a little flavor to any date.
I won’t ruin the tour by telling you all the things I learned but highly recommend it. It didn’t last terribly long and was time well spent escaping the crowds.
The brewery offers a lot for all sorts of couples. What’s the worst that could happen if you gave it a chance? You might taste a beer that’s not quite right.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Steel Hands. I can’t wait for my next visit and hope that my husband enjoys just as much as I did. If you’re looking for a similar experience and do not live locally, I recommend seeking the nearest brewery and finding your own amazing experience.
